Venus de Milo: On Being Rediscovered

Karen Head

It’s like that moment,
hair mussed,
teeth coated
in the stale air
of the morning after
when rushing
for a taxi,
pantyhose
and shoes
in hand,
you encounter
anyone who
thinks they
know you.
